Last night the winds were really fierce!! I was woken up at least a couple of times by things banging around.
I went for breakfast at the usual time (7:30) and this time I had French toast with yogurt, fruits, cheese, and crackers.
At 8:30 Etiene picked me up and we went to look at the point which was not very exciting. We decided to wait till 12 to see if the surf improved. It did so we surfed for a little while and I’ve been getting some good feedback on my surfing which I really appreciate!! Seems I am not planting my back foot firmly on the board which I can feel and that I am squatting instead of trying to turn with my head which I could tell something was wrong and I thought it might be that but putting everything together is so hard when you can’t see what you’re doing wrong. I hope that I can begin to put these elements to work so I can improve!!
After that we went to the bank. I’ll tell you I was not anticipating all the fees I incurred…I thought what I brought would’ve sufficed but it turns out I owed a bit more. I should have paid the 4% fee for electronic transfer and been done with that. Well at least I know for next time if I book with Nomad Surfers.
After that we went to a ding repair shop then to his shaper to see if his board was done and it wasn’t so he took me back to the camp. I thought we were going to dinner but he cancelled so I took a shower, did some much needed stretches, and went down to La Pizzeria to have a pie. Tonight I had a pepperoni, cheese, and garlic pizza that I added tomato too.
