The days kind of feel the same for better or worse and as I get used to the pace of life here I find that I’m getting up later as well. Today I got up around 8 or 8:30.

I went downstairs to have some breakfast and thankfully Gustavo had everything laid out which I appreciated, so I had a couple of breads, a banana, and some coffee.

Shortly after that I suited up and went out to surf. The mornings have been cold and the water has been colder. So much so that when I duck dive my head feels numb. I haven’t felt that at least in a couple of winter back home. Looking around I found the spot that Logan and I got in at and tried to get to the point but again I got denied. The current is so strong it’s almost impossible to get in position. Just about the same time I tried to paddle out another person got in the water as well. He struggled to get to the point as well as I saw him get swept down the line just like I had. The difference with him is that he fought it longer than I did.

Instead of fighting the current I stayed where I was and caught a couple waves which was fun. Either I’m not 100% or I’m not waiting long enough after I eat to get in the water because I felt a little ill. I probably stayed in for another 30 minutes or so then got out.

Back at the camp grabbed another cup of coffee and chilled. I went upstairs to my room and asked if someone could send me the pictures that were taken at our end of year celebration at Whaley park. I didn’t expect Juan to send it all but he sent over 100+ pictures and video! I made sure to download them all and put them in an album right away.

During that time I was playing a game and I decided that I wanted to do something different for lunch instead of the sandwich I’ve been having at Los Morros.

I walked about a mile or so to this shopping center Altomar and went to a place called Curcuma. I was pleasantly surprised not only to find a place that had vegan options but that was also very good! I got something called mousaka eggplant. Take a look!!

After that I walked back to the camp but I think that I’ll be taking a collectivo (taxi) as walking that distance is killing my feet
