I woke up today at 6:30. Shortly after I grabbed my wetsuit, booties, towel, water and grabbed a couple of bananas and an orange for the road.

We took a look at this place called Boilers or I think it’s called The Boiler on Surfline. The waves weren’t looking that good. They weren’t clean or organized so we went back to the camp and had some breakfast.

I had a mixture of chocolate puffs and corn flakes with milk, crepe with Nutella, egg on bread x2, a little coffee, some juice, and I think that’s it but I felt too stuffed after I finished.

Shortly after we left for a place that was called deserts. This place (I was told) was 30 minutes away. Our travel time was more like an hour to an hour and a half. When we first looked it was ok. But when we got in it was awesome!! I’d say it was about 4-6′ and it seemed to get more consistent while we were there. The best part was…(well one of the best parts was) we were all by ourselves which was hard to come by. The other good part was the point/reef (ok another good point) was an a-frame so I got to go left as well!!

I got a lot of waves. At least three good lefts and two good rights!! What a good way to end the surfing part of my journey 🙂

On the way home we went to get some squid (or calamari thought I knew that but obviously not) sandwich which was pretty good and was a great price at 10 dirhams.

Spencer wanted to stop by Anza and have a surf but I think he didn’t want to surf with at least one other person. I was not keen on it and neither were the other two guys. We ended up just going back to the surf camp.

I made sure to tip Ilyas, return my board, pay for my dinner/water/and laundry that I had done, put a tip in the envelope for Fatima, and pickup my clean laundry. I immediately started to pack what I could and when I got to a point where I was both tired and hungry I started to look on my phone for places to go.

I decided yesterday that I would go to the number one restaurant on Trip Advisor and went to Sunset Taghazout. I spoke to Hannah about it and she said it was good and to look for the orange chairs.

I set into town looking for a restaurant with orange chairs and found a cafe that said Taghazout but didn’t say Sunset Taghazout. I was tempted to sit down but I thought there are only a couple more restaurants in the row. Lemme have a look and see if another one is the correct restaurant. What I found was the last restaurant was the correct one.

I sat down and looked at the menu. From the reviews the burgers and shakes sounded like the things to get so I got an Arabian Burger with fries and a snickers shake. I can’t really remember what the burger had on it but it was pretty good. I had ordered the double and while I pointed to the item the waiter seemed to think I wanted the single. I checked the burger when I got it but I was so hungry I started to devour it. I called the waiter over and had a hard time getting him to fist understand what he brought me was the double. I asked for a menu, pointed to double, and then pointed to my burger. He didn’t seem to understand. I did the same with simple (single) and he said yes. He asked if I wanted another burger and I was under the assumption that I would get it for 55 dirhams so I said yes. Having s feeling that I might be charged 35 dirhams a piece I called the waiter back over. I asked for two burgers if I would be charged 55 dirhams or 35 dirhams twice. He said the latter so I told him that I was fine. And good thing too because after I finished the burger I was good. I blogged for a short minute got the bill and zeroed out my tab. One thing I forgot to mention is that I was trying to connect to wifi last night at la spot and couldn’t connect. I found that I was connected today no problem. Go figure. Oh take a look at the burger

I walked back to the camp, spoke with Hannah for a bit, took a shower, and luckily she had stepped away so I could tip the staff which was my last task on my list. I packed a bit more so all I have tomorrow morning are odds and ends that can’t be packed because I need them tomorrow or they are drying (hopefully). That’s about it. Think I’m gonna read then call it a night.
