I laid down last night at 7:30 or so and while I kept waking up during the evening I woke up at 7. Almost 12 hours!!

I ate breakfast at Surf Maroc which consisted of coffee, cereal, juice, and a crepe with Nutella and banana which was pretty good.

After that we went to Anchor Point again. Entry into the water was much harder than the previous day. Probably because the tide was so high. I was worried I was going to ding the rental board but I didn’t.

We did about a two hour session then took a break to eat and chill out. I thought we were going to go somewhere else but we stayed there and did another session.

Second session wasn’t that exciting but my first ride was the best even though it was short. I thought I was going to get barreled but the wave clamped down on me. I got a couple others but nothing to speak of.

After we got back I chilled out for a bit then I spoke to Hannah before heading out for a walk and she told me that I could get the sim at the Internet cafe and that laundry could be done within a day or two depending on how warm it was. With that information I decided that I would do laundry on Thursday to be safe then I headed out to get soap and the sim.

I grabbed what I thought was soap and realized it was lotion. I was already halfway to the Internet cafe so I went there and found out the cards were not activated. That kinda threw me so I left the Internet cafe, exchanged the lotion for soap, and went back to the surf camp.

I spoke to Hannah again and she told me that I could have the shop owner activate the card. I took a little time at the camp, took some pictures, then headed out for dinner and one last shot at getting the sim.

One of the things I have realized when traveling is the importance of trying to learn some words and phrases that will help me out. With Morocco I went with Arabic and the fact this used to be a French colony I was confused as to what to choose. I chose wrong as most people here speak French. And it was no exception with the shop owner. I was able to get him to put the SIM card in and activate it however I was having problems loading the sim with voice and data. I was told to come back the next day but was confused about that whole interaction. He kept saying something to the effect of I don’t have money but was pointing at his phone.

I then went to a Cafe and had Fish Kafta. I didn’t realize there would be bones in the fish and that I would have to pick them out myself. This made the whole experience a little less pleasurable. Also there were three stray cats that were pretty persistent and bothering me the whole time. Take a look at the cafe.

After that I went back to the camp and relaxed a bit before going to sleep for the night.
