Friday, April 13, 2012 – Good morning and welcome to…Friday the 13th!! I hope that everyone had a great week and is looking forward to an equally wonderful weekend. So in my efforts to be a lifelong learner and to increase my skills in photoshop I was watching this video online that was talking about luminosity masks. From what I gather it can create a selection based on luminance levels instead of the selection tools (e.g. lasso or wand tools) which will help when painting in either lighter or darker tones (blending will be smoother). What a great time to find this information!! I have had problems with blending for quite some time and while opacity kind of helps there will be no substitute for what this technique will do for my image making.
