Breakfast – was early this morning. We had to eat right at 6 so we could be in the bus and ready to go by 7. Well by 7:04am the bus was late however we left shortly after. We had the same breakfast as we have had the previous days

Flight – LIM -> CUS – I thought we were going to board the plane at 9:10am but it’s 9:19am and we haven’t boarded yet. Guess we’ll see what happens

As of 9:42am we are all boarded and ready to go. I anticipate us being late to our destination

Lunch – was boxed and consisted of the chicken wrapped with him inside, vegetables, and pasta which was just ok. There was also what loooked like a large tangerine, cookies, chips, an apple pie, and a sublime chocolate bar. I pretty much ate everything except the apple pie which I tried and didn’t like and saved the chocolate bar for later

Tour – our tour was the upper city of pisac. Just seeing the agricultural terraces in person is amazing!! I’ll have to process one of those photos later as I don’t have any on my phone. It blows my mind that the ancient Incan people were able to not only figure out how to build these terraces but bring all the proper soil and sand mixture so the rains wouldn’t wash away their crops…and to have to do that without any machines…wow. There was a trail that led up to the temple but it was closed. Our guide Marco thought it might be opened May 1 but unfortunately it wasn’t.

After that we went to the famous Pisac market where we looked at the textiles, trinkets, and jewelry. I was hoping to get an alpaca poncho but I didn’t see anything I liked. We had about a half hour in the market then we drove an hour to our hotel. I was not hopeful when we drove up but after walking in the place is huge and it is amazing!! I’ll have to process photos and post them

Dinner – was spaghetti with tomato sauce that was way too sweet but I was so hungry I ate the whole thing. Dessert was lemon meringue I think. Take a look
