Today I decided to count my blessings that I wasn’t really injured and just take the day off. The boys went to El Pimentel and I packed up my gear and prepped for the flight home.

Just looking out at the waves from the third floor I knew that I was going to miss this place. The people were really nice, the food was good, and it was nice to not have to worry about anything except where you’re going to surf and when 🙂

The more I travel the more I begin to realize about myself and the people around me. My realizations were…how much I hold myself back from experiencing how wonderful love is because oh what “I don’t have” or what is perceived as “social acceptable”. And some of the other things I was thinking to myself is how much I cherish all the relationships in my life and how similar we are in our quest for happiness and fulfillment.

Talking about fulfillment I had some cereal and coffee to begin my day as the cook was not in yet. After that I went back to the room, read a bit, and meditated. Today’s meditation was pretty good and I am thinking about integrating the six phase into my meditation practice. I’ve read about it from a book called The Code of the Extraordinary Mind by Vishen Lakhiani. This book is like a workbook where you have to assess yourself, identify room for improvement, and use the things that you wrote down in your meditation practice. So far I’ve made it to the second phase and I need to work on the third phase. I’m in no rush but you’ve gotta check this book out. It’s pretty awesome!!

At about 9 or so I went upstairs to grab some breakfast. I had the breakfast quesadilla again and a smoothie that wasn’t that good. I sat there for quite some time knowing that I would be leaving filled with a mixture of sadness (that I would have to leave) and gratitude for the quality of my life today. I would never have guessed that the decision I made with my higher power over nine years ago would change my life so profoundly!!

At about 10 or so the boys came back and I joined them up in the cafe. They had a bite to eat while I chilled and asked them about their session. It seemed like Pat had a pretty good session but Joe was out for only 20 minutes or so then decided to come in.

We parted ways for a bit then we collected our tip money and gave it to the receptionist for petty much everyone else and to Emilio for guiding us.

Shortly after we left as the sky was getting cloudy and it sounded like it was going to pour. We made it to the airport in no time however it took quite a bit of time to check in. So much so that I had to board almost immediately.

What a great trip!! Thanks Pat and Joe for joining me 🙂
