I woke up a couple of times throughout the night. Part of that was due to the rocks being washed ashore then taken back out by the surf and the other part was due to me going to sleep at 7:40pm. I eventually got up around 5:30am and went upstairs to have some cereal and coffee. Take a look at the sunrise!!

At about 6:30 we took a drive to check out Sunzal which looked good but was crowded so we went up the way another 10 minutes or so and surfed at El Zonte. When we first looked at it there were only three people out and it was fun for a good 30-40 minutes maybe more. An influx of 5-10 more people made it pretty crowded and we had people taking off on each other. I even had this guy who wasn’t paying attention paddle right into me…oh well no one was hurt so that was good 🙂

We came back to the camp and had breakfast which for me was an El Tipico (eggs, beans, and cantaloupe) and a smoothie which had berries, banana, milk, yogurt, and honey which was really good!! Take a look

Guess I only have a picture of the smoothie. I must have been too hungry to take a picture of my food 🙂

After breakfast I said my goodbyes to Maurizia who was the only other person staying at the camp. She was a really interesting person. She used to participate in the olympics in synchronized swimming and was a performer in cirque du soleil. I was pretty impressed!! Take a look

After that I went back to my room, messed around on my phone for a bit, meditated, and read. About 12:30pm or so I checked the tide and it was a dead low so I decided to surf by myself right out front. I had no idea the ground or the black sand would be so hot and I almost burned the crap out of my feet ?

The session was actually pretty fun. There were about three other people out but after 20 minutes or so they decided to go up to the point and surf punta roca.

I finished my session and sat in the swimming pool for a bit. Emilio said that we would go for another session around 3:30 which sounded fine to me. I grabbed a lite lunch which was a salad with shrimp and chicken. Take a look!! I really loved all the colors!! And it tasted good as well

When the time rolled around we looked out front and it was pretty dead. I asked if we could checkout Sunzal and El Zonte and while the latter looked ok there was at least 10 people out and I wasn’t digging it. We came back to the hotel and called it an evening at least for surfing.

I took some time in the room then grabbed some dinner at 6. I had a spaghetti marinara which had octopus, lobster, and I think clams. It was really good and hit the spot. The lighting might be bad but this is what it looked like

And this was what the sunset looked like.

What a great day!! Can’t wait for Pat and Joe to show up 🙂
