Ok so this turnaround to post was a little bit better 🙂 So I went with Pat and his work friends and while the trip was quick I felt that I did a lot and had a great time!! This was Pat’s seventh wonder of the world and I guess if I’m counting it’s my second. We flew in on Thursday and got there at about 5 or 6 in the evening. When I first walked into the hotel I thought it was pretty nice. Right on the water, had a restaurant right outside the big glass doors, and for the price it was great!! If anyone is interested we stayed at the Real Inn.
We were famished by the time we got there so we decided to eat at the hotel, then if we could find the rest of the group we would meet up with them. Well it ended up we weren’t able to find them but we were able to get a cab for all of us for $10. We thought this was a deal but really quickly we found out that we could take the bus for 10 pesos…
We spent about two hours in town then went back to the hotel to rest up for the next day which was Chichen Itza. In the morning I was worried we were going to be late. I got up early, had breakfast, prepped, and was waiting at least 20-30 minutes before the meeting time. About 10 minutes after the hour I was a bit concerned so I asked the person at the front desk if they could call the tour company…no answer. At about 15 after I was wondering if they were coming or if we missed our bus. Thankfully at 20 after they showed up.
We were given 6-8 hours (I can’t remember) but I thought to myself this is more than enough time. Well the reality was we probably could have used at least another two hours. Oh well. Here are some pictures from that day.
and of course…
Day 2 – Tulum Xtreme
This day was a mixture of sightseeing and doing more extreme activities like repelling (which I never have done before), zip lining, and swimming in a senote which was really cool. I only have pictures from the Tulum portion.
Till the next trip!!
